What We Offer

Neurodivergent Communication Support
We work with autistic individuals, ADHDers, and those with learning disabilities to understand and embrace their communication differences; whether that means navigating diagnoses, unpicking shutdowns and meltdowns, supporting identity-affirming AAC use, or making environments more accessible and communication friendly.
SLT Consultancy & Training
We partner with schools, colleges, inpatient services, community teams, and private organisations to embed neuro-affirming communication strategies, provide staff training, and co-develop inclusive pathways of care.
Dysphagia Assessment & Management
We offer specialist dysphagia input to NHS Trusts and private care settings, including acute and community services, residential providers, and specialist schools. Our input is timely, evidence-based, and aligned with RCSLT guidance.

About

Hi, I'm Kate - the Speech and Language Therapist behind NeuroThrive Therapy.I’m registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a proud member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).For the past 17 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with babies, children, young people, and adults across the lifespan; supporting communication, swallowing, and wellbeing for those with complex learning and physical disabilities, neurodivergence, and mental health needs.I'm passionate about offering neuroaffirmative, person-centred support that truly celebrates individuality and identity.Alongside running NeuroThrive Therapy, I am employed part time within the NHS, where I continue to develop my clinical practice and stay actively engaged with ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development). In addition to direct highly specialist assessment and therapy, I can offer supervision services for fellow professionals and training and consultancy for individuals, teams, and organisations who want to create more inclusive and neuroaffirming environments. As a parent to neurodivergent children myself I understand, both personally and professionally, the importance of compassionate post-diagnostic support.Helping people make sense of their neurodivergent identities in a positive, affirming way is at the heart of my work.If you’d like to find out more about how NeuroThrive Therapy can support you, your family, your team or your organisation I'd love to hear from you.

Why Choose NeuroThrive?

NeuroThrive Therapy was founded on the deep belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to connect, communicate, and thrive - not just survive.Throughout my 17 years as a Speech and Language Therapist, working across various NHS services and alongside many incredible individuals and families, I’ve seen firsthand how vital communication is to identity, wellbeing, and belonging. I’ve also seen the reality, that despite the best efforts of NHS teams, services are often stretched, waiting lists are long, and too many people are left without the timely, personalised support they need.Without meaningful ways to express themselves or engage with others, so many neurodivergent people, and those with learning disabilities or mental health challenges, find themselves isolated, misunderstood, or even in crisis. Communication is not just about speech; it's about connection, community, and human dignity.NeuroThrive Therapy was created to bridge that gap; offering specialist, neuroaffirming Speech and Language Therapy, dysphagia support, supervision, consultancy, and post-diagnostic services tailored to each individual. I am passionate about helping people understand their own communication profiles, build their strengths, and find connection in whatever way feels right for them.
